Doc Spoons is a professional drummer and drum instructor based in Switzerland
Born and raised in the U.K. and a resident of Switzerland since 2009, Spoons is a seasoned session player who has worked for a raft of artists, producers and organisations. A truly versatile musician who is as at home pounding out rock rhythms as he is riding laid back soul & funk or shufflin’ blues grooves.
Since 2013 Spoons has been the live and studio drummer for multi-platinum selling, Swiss Music Award Winning artist, Philipp Fankhauser. During this time he has participated in the recording, song-writing and co-production of the Gold Awarded 2014 album HOME (Sony Music) which entered the Official Swiss Music Charts at Number 2, and the recording, editing and production of the 2016 CD/DVD release Philipp Fankhauser & Margie Evans UNPLUGGED Live at Mühle Hunziken (Sony Music), which entered the Official Swiss Music Charts at Number 4. In addition Spoons has been part of the highly successful Bringing it All Back Home Tour in 2013, the HOME Tour in 2014/5 the Unplugged and 30 Years Tours for 2016/17 and the I’ll Be Around Tour for 2018 and beyond.
Richard had created his own website using a basic knowledge of HTML. He’d got to a point in his career where he realised that he was unable to produce a suitably professional website to support his position and decided to reach out to us to help him out.
Richard was keen to have something very different from everything else out there. He wanted us to offer a very stylised and unique portfolio website. He also wanted to include a video slider on his homepage as an interactive introduction to his skills.
- Video integration
- Custom post types to showcase video and audio samples
- Multilingual translation option to present his content in both English and German
We built a highly stylised WordPress website with media integration, various custom post types to support Videos, Shows and a Discography. We also included WPML integration to allow Richard to present his site in both English and German.
The end result is a unique and interactive portfolio site with stylised design elements.
